BATI Interview Techniques mobile application

The BATI Interview Techniques app is published by Question Mark Media on behalf of the Behavioral Analysis Training Institute (BATI). It provides course content, study guides, and interactive tools to individuals enrolled in a BATI training course. This policy describes what information the app collects and how it is used.
To unlock the app you are asked to enter your email address, your Course ID, and the license code provided by your course coordinator. This is the only personal information the app collects. We do not collect your name, location, contacts, photos, or any other data from your device.
Your Course ID and license code are sent to BATI's server to confirm that you are enrolled in a valid course. Once your license is confirmed, your email address and Course ID are also sent to BATI's server and stored so that BATI has a record of who has activated the app for each course. This information is used solely to administer the app and the course; it is not used for marketing and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Notes you write in the app, your answers to Study Guide questions, and any Workshop and Personal History form entries are stored only on your device, in secure storage. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. You can erase all of this data at any time by tapping More → Reset Device in the app, or by deleting the app.
The app does not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking services. The app does use Expo Application Services (EAS Update) to deliver updated app content; when it checks for an update, standard technical information such as your device's IP address and app version is transmitted to that service in order to complete the request. The Downloads section opens PDF documents hosted on our own web server in your browser.
Your email address and Course ID are retained on BATI's server for as long as needed to administer the course. To request deletion of your information, email dstark@questionmarkmedia.com from the address you used to activate the app and we will remove it.
All communication between the app and BATI's server takes place over encrypted HTTPS connections. Data stored on your device is kept in the operating system's secure storage.
The app is intended for adult professionals enrolled in law-enforcement training courses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
By using the app, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
